2 Marzo 2016 : prima osservazione stagionale di sputi di
philaenus spumarius nel Salento

Tra le attività di Ponte volte a studiare la biologia del
vettore philaenus spumarius , campionamenti periodici e osservazioni sul campo
devono essere fatte nella zona della provincia di Lecce ( sud Italia ) colpite
da Xylella fastidiosa . Nell'ambito di queste attività , il 2 marzo , philaenus
spumarius ninfe , principalmente appartenenti alla seconda instar , sono stati
osservati per la prima volta nella stagione , 15 giorni di anticipo rispetto al
2015 , quando lo stesso instar è stato osservato il 17 marzo .
Una comunicazione formale del ritrovamento è stato dato oggi
4 marzo , al servizio fitosanitario regionale .

Among the
activities of POnTE aimed to study the biology of the vector Philaenus
spumarius, periodical samplings and field observations have to be done in the
area of the province of Lecce (southern Italy) affected by Xylella fastidiosa.
In the framework of these activities on March 2, Philaenus spumarius nymphs,
mainly belonging to second instar, were observed for the first time in the
season, 15 days earlier than in 2015, when the same instar were observed on
March 17.
A formal
communication of the finding was given today, March 4, to the Regional Plant
Protection Service.
